Protean Barricades were designed to work with your agency’s or company’s strategic plans as a resource to protect personnel, assets, and critical infrastructure. There are no other portable barricade systems that provide comparable strength, portability, and expandability. Our patent pending design was built by decades of experience in managing public order events. Protean Barricades can align with your strategic needs by modulating its capabilities within three levels of defensive posture.
Level 1
Lower units only, deployed and fixed to the ground. Don’t let the non-invasive appearance fool you. Each lower unit of the Protean Barricade System has three reinforced ground contact points that are attached utilizing a structurally rated anchor system for asphalt and concrete. Anchor systems can be preplaced in prepared ground which allow set up to take place in under a minute for each unit.
We have additional anchor systems for masonry and bare soil as well. These units can withstand thousands of pounds of pulling force when properly installed on structurally rated ground (normally asphalt and concrete). We applied the hydraulics and pulling power of a tractor using direct vertical and lateral force with no movement or damage to the lower fence unit that was properly attached to concrete. There should not be any reasonable concern about this barrier getting pushed into your line by human force alone, letting you focus on solving problems and not merely trying to hold a line.
Level 2
Lower units deployed and secured to the ground with upper units attached at three hinge points and in the down position. This position allows for a rapid transition from Level 2 to Level 3 by bringing the top section up, securing it with bolts, then deploying the two support members which secure the upper units’ midrails directly to the rear into the ground utilizing structurally rated anchor bolts. Level 3
Lower units deployed, properly attached to the ground, upper units deployed, properly attached to the lower unit, with support members in place and properly secured to the ground. This level of deployment protects your officers with a secure barrier in-between them and those that might seek violent interactions. Protean Barricade System utilized a proprietary and patent pending design throughout its structure. The descending width offset base allows us to take advantage of structurally rated anchor systems to provide a secure barrier between your people, buildings, and property and those seeking to harm it. The upper section is covered by small opening expanded metal to mitigate climbing risk as well as projectile threat mitigation. Strength greater than a fixed fence with portability and expandability. This allows you to have the barrier you need, where you need it, when you need it.
Surface Anchor System
Our Surface Anchor System is a system that allows for a simplified rapid deployement of our barricade system with maximum strength. We set the anchors into the surfaces around those areas where your organization need protection. All you have to do is bolt them in place with our security head stainless steel hardware.
